Pellegrini praised the performance of Edin Dzeko and David Silva after the Magpies victory.
The big Bosnian striker was impressive throughout, with the control and finish for his goal of the highest order.
It was no surprise who set that strike up – Silva – and the little Spaniard scored two quick-fire goals after the break to add gloss to a powerhouse performance.

“For Edin it is very important,” Pellegrini added. “Maybe one of the things that happened in January was that Edin was just returning from a long injury and Sergio also.”
Both of them, as they have minutes, will return to their normal performance. Edin not only scored but worked very well the whole game.”
